Sugar substitutes are a great source of debate. As someone with diabetes, you likely encounter or are offered foods that contain them often. How we use them covers the spectrum from those who gladly use them to those who totally swear them off.
I personally try to avoid them simply because I tend to gravitate towards more natural foods. However, I do use them here and there—a dash in a cup of coffee or a diet soda once in a while.
