Sometimes, even if you have not had any noticeable symptoms, diabetes can be detected during a yearly physical, if these tests are ordered as part of the routine exam.

Type 2 diabetes is treated on several fronts. Sometimes diabetes can be managed with diet and exercise alone, but usually medication is required to help keep blood sugar levels in an
acceptable range.
