Flu Vaccines are on the Way

Tuesday September 16, 2008

Fall is the time to start thinking about flu shots. People with chronic diseases like diabetes need the protection that a flu vaccine offers.

The CDC offers information about the flu vaccines for the 2008-2009 season. There will be 143 million to 146 million doses of flu vaccine available during this year's flu season. That's more doses than ever before. The CDC recommends getting your flu shot as soon as the vaccine becomes available.

The vaccines should become available in many locations starting this month.
