Meet Jim, a registered nurse who was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in August of 2007. We asked Jim if we could follow his progress for one year, as he learns to adapt to life with diabetes.
This month, we get to know Jim, and get familiar with his overall health status, the goals he has set, and the challenges he faces. He shares what he's doing now to manage his diabetes, and most importantly, he lets us know what is working for him, and what isn't.

Does Jim have an addiction to food/sugar? Those of us who do have a terrible problem. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and can’t get in control because of the addiction.
