When in Doubt... Use About.com's Drugs A-Z

Wednesday January 2, 2008

Did you ever wish you had more information about your medications? Have you ever wondered what to do about missed doses, or what drugs interact with the ones you are taking?

Drugs A-Z is a handy on-line tool for looking up medications and finding the answers to almost any questions you may have. Just type in the name of the drug (either brand name or generic) and click on the medication link that will pop up.

Although Drugs A-Z shows a list of the 200 most commonly prescribed drugs, there are many more drugs that can be found on the website. If you don't see the drug you're looking for in the list, type in the name of the drug at the top of the page. Some of the more commonly prescribed diabetes drugs such as metformin, do not appear on the top 200 list, but they are easily accessible by typing the name of the drug you are searching for in the box labeled, "Enter the brand or generic name of the drug"
