Recall on Contour TS Test Strips

A voluntary recall of test strips, marketed by Bayer Diabetes Care for the Contour TS blood glucose meter has been issued to healthcare professionals.

The faulty test strips may show blood glucose levels that are 5-17% higher than what they actually are.

Lot numbers can be found in the press release issued by the FDA. The recall affects test strips sold in seven countries including the United States.

Other Bayer meters such as the Ascensia Contour and the Ascensia Breeze 2 do not use these test strips. They are exclusive to the Contour TS meter.
