Carrying Cases for Insulin Pens? Get the Inside Story from the Diabetes Forum
Tuesday June 19, 2007

The Diabetes Forum is the place to go for answers to all sorts of questions about managing diabetes. This week, Shortypro asks
"Ok, I have a dumb question-What do ya'll keep your pens and needles in to take w/you when your away from home? My Lantus pen came w/a case but my Humalog pen did not. I was just curious if there is one or if anyone had a nifty carrying case idea? I wouldn't worry about it except for the needles. Maybe like a makeup bag? I feel kinda silly for asking : )"
Chollalamb answers,
"I just have a small lunch type insulated bag with a blue ice jel pack in it."She also recommends a few reputable websites that offer supplies. Read this and other answers to Shortypro's question in the Diabetes Forum this week. Photo by Christina J.R. Hannah

I’ve had the same problem, how to manage all the pens and needles. I discovered a product called Handy Insulin Case.
I’ve been very pleased with the case as its easy to use, made of high qualty leather and keeps everything organized. I also like having the glucose tabs handy in those troublesome times when my blood sugar takes a drop
If you can get your hands on them… BD used to make a case for their non-disposable pen the BD Mini, which fits the humalog disposable pens nicely with room for 3 tips, a medical id card, AND an extra pocket which can pretty much fit a vial if need be, or 2 to 3 more pen tips
