
Last week's Diabetes Poll asked, "What is Your Experience with Avandia?" Voters had a range of experiences with the diabetes drug. As of June 6th, there were 264 responses. Of those, 230 people had taken Avandia (rosiglitazone). 105 people who took the drug had no side effects. That left 125 people who did. The side effects ranged from fluid retention (edema), to symptoms of congestive heart failure or worsening of previously diagnosed cardiac problems.
According to this small impromtu poll, over 50% of participants had some kind of side effect from the Avandia. This poll was in no way scientific, but it does seem like a large percentage of voters had trouble with the medication. See the results and check out this poll...
