In The Kitchen With The Diabetes Forum

Tuesday April 17, 2007

The Diabetes Forum is a good place to go for support and information about diabetes. Sometimes it seems more like a village where neighbors greet each other over the fence and share tips and tricks and even recipes.

Nutrition is an important part of good diabetes control. Keeping things interesting and healthy in the kitchen can be a challenge after a while. In the Diabetes Forum Recipe Box, good recipes are shared and tested by members. Here's a few examples of what's for dinner in the Diabetes Forum.

Pork & Cabbage Stirfry

From Viki (Vikia2) who says, "I know cabbage is not a sexy veggie, but I gotta tell ya, this is delish... My mom has made this dish since I was little and it is very good. A whole head of cabbage is only about 200 calories and will feed 4 adults. And cabbage is a great source of potassium."

UnPotato Salad

A low-carb recipe from lendagarner which uses a surprise ingredient, cauliflower, in place of potatoes.

Happy cooking!

If you know someone around you who is being a little shady and you are getting uncomfortable around them, then maybe you might want to run a small background report on the person in question to make sure that they are ‘who they say they are’.
