Check Out The New Symptom Checker

Wednesday April 11, 2007

Symptom Checker is a new online tool that can help you figure out what those aches and pains are all about. People with health questions, nagging symptoms, or just medical curiosity can use Symptom Checker. The tool has more than one hundred common symptoms of illnesses in it's data base, and it asks you questions to try and pinpoint what may be going on. It offers information, possible causes of pain or discomfort, and provides insight and explanations for why you may be having those symptoms.

You can click on a body part or on topics that are listed A-Z. It will lead you through a series of choices and help you narrow down your symptoms to specific possibilities. It also has detailed descriptions of diseases and conditions to help you learn more about your health.

Symptom Checker is not a substitute for medical care. Internet tools are not meant to diagnose, but to just offer you information about possible conditions and diseases. If you have questions or concerns about your health, please see a doctor.

This is an excellent resource to assist understanding of bothersome symptoms – and the information to realize when to visit the professional.
Thank you – as a Registered Nurse, seeing many Seniors in my Footcare practise, the information offered in the easy to read format is what I may share as needed (as well encourage the visit to their medical doctors).
