Last year, the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health (MSPH) launched the Healthy Monday campaign. It was designed to motivate people to think about their health at least once a week. Based on the knowledge that most people think of Monday as the fresh start to a new week, the team of experts at the MSPH used that thinking to help remind people that good health and disease prevention is an ongoing endeavor.
If everyone thinks of Monday as "healthy" Monday, then maintaining a healthy lifestyle is broken down into more manageable chunks. It's a lot easier to change what we do, one day a week, than it is to overhaul a complete style of living all at once. Have you embraced the Healthy Monday philosophy yet?
